What is my programming?
It's way you see the world and yourself in it...yep...it's that simple.
But it's not really, is it? Simple, I mean.
Living life is complicated. Being in relationships is complicated. Finding community, knowing how to vote, what to believe and what you do with your life is complicated.
You landed in a storyline by birth, learned a way to view the world and yourself as you grew up and YOU DID ALL THE THINGS to write the story the way they told you it should be written. But YOU KNOW there is more to you than this script, don't you?

After years of narcissistic relationships and 40+ years of religious programming, I was forced to reckon with my mortality, health, and my ability to live beyond survival mode.
I didn't know how to desire or want. I didn't know how to fill up my cup and feel alive. Adrenaline was my closest friend. I could endure the really hard life circumstances, I could run marathons and ride my bike till I collapsed. But I couldn't tell you what coffee I wanted to order.
I felt like the only thing I knew how to do was survive the really hard stuff. My life collapsed on so many levels. Living into my programming resulted in a skeleton version of me.
I made radical decisions to take my pen back and write my own story...the way I wanted to.
What I do now is very sensitive work.
When you leave a toxic situation - like an evangelical religious community, and you're starting to get back on your feet, you often feel a deep sense of fear about who you even are. It's a crisis of identity, self-agency, and purpose.
